Well said the music out there is so vast that one really should look at even music that may "frighten", you like Zappa the Iggy Pop and the like. I love the dead but in the Weir inteiview that mocked a hippy voice I cannot say I did not smirk a bit. One gets sick of a culture that is dead not the music.

Dakini(www.dakinijam.com) is real good. I was going to try to get them up on the archive last year, but my dsl had my uploads capped waay low.

Is there anyone out there that could help get them up on the LMA, if I had them mail a few cds ?

I'd make it a staff pick but I'm too scared. Maybe Aaron can. ;)

There are other items like that in the collection I think, just not under that name. It's another example of a local region getting several representations thanks to a LMA volunteer, in this case Aaron Parker. Go Maine DIY hardcore scene, Nate Rainey et al (even if y'all are a tough listen)! :)

and don't forget about Deutsch-Vergnügen.

And even though it isn't my sound, I'm super stoked to see aaron taping it up in his area and getting all that up here on the LMA, espcially a genre that i'm sure is rarely taped live, let alone shared to the world. Good work aaron!
